Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using SecurePDFSuite ("the Service") at securepdfsuite.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
SecurePDFSuite is a local-first, browser-based PDF utility suite. The Service allows you to merge, split, compress, rotate, convert, watermark, flatten, repair, password-protect, and redact PDF files. All processing happens inside your own browser, on your own device. Your files are never uploaded to us and are never transmitted to any third party by the Service.
3. Free to use, no account
Every tool on SecurePDFSuite is free and unlimited. There is no account to create, no sign-in, no free-tier limit, no subscription, and nothing to pay. We do not take payment details, because there is nothing to pay for.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Process documents that contain illegal content.
- Circumvent, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract source code of the Service.
- Automate requests in a manner that places unreasonable load on the server.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written consent.
- Use the Service to infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
Because processing happens on your own device and we hold no accounts, we have no practical way to police what you do with the tools — but the above remains a condition of use, and we may block abusive traffic to the site.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by SecurePDFSuite and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain full ownership of any documents you process through the Service — we never receive them, so we could not claim any interest in them even in principle.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will meet your specific requirements. Use of the Service is at your own risk. Always keep a backup of important documents before processing them.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecurePDFSuite shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. As the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed CAD $100.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold SecurePDFSuite harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
9. Availability
The Service is free and provided on a best-effort basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice. We may block traffic that abuses or overloads the site.
10. Changes to terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the current version, and continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
