Privacy Policy
1. Overview
SecurePDFSuite ("we", "us", or "our") operates securepdfsuite.com. This policy explains exactly what happens to your files and what information we collect. We have tried to write it so that every sentence is something we can actually demonstrate, rather than a reassurance.
2. Your PDF files
Your PDF files are never uploaded to our servers. Every tool on this site — merge, split, compress, convert, rotate, extract, watermark, flatten, repair, password-protect and redact — runs entirely inside your own browser, on your own device, using WebAssembly. The file is opened, processed and saved without ever being transmitted anywhere.
Because the file never reaches us, there is nothing for us to store, log, read or retain. We could not access your documents even if we were asked to.
The code that does the processing is served from our own domain — the tools load no third-party scripts and make no network requests while working. You can verify this yourself: open your browser's Network tab and watch while you use a tool. Every request goes to securepdfsuite.com, and none of them carries your file.
3. Information we collect
SecurePDFSuite is free to use and does not require an account. We collect:
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics on the pages of this site to see which of them people find useful, so we know what to build and improve. It records things like which pages you visited, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you used, and it sets cookies to do so (see section 5). It never receives your documents — your files are processed in your browser and are never transmitted anywhere, so there is nothing about them for analytics to see. If you would rather not be counted, you can use Google's official opt-out add-on, block analytics in your browser or an extension, or use private browsing.
- Technical data — our web server records standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser type) for security and abuse prevention. These are ordinary server logs and contain no file contents.
We do not sell your data, show you ads, or build a profile on you.
4. Third-party services
Two third parties can receive data from the pages you view — never from the tools themselves:
- Google Analytics — runs on the pages of this site. It sets cookies (
_ga,_ga_JXM6L81EKT) and receives your IP address and your browsing activity on this site. It is not loaded inside the tools themselves. See Google's Privacy Policy. - Google Fonts — our pages load a webfont from Google's servers, which means your browser contacts Google and Google receives your IP address when a page loads. This applies to the informational pages only; it does not involve your files.
5. Cookies
We set no cookies of our own. The only cookies this site places are Google Analytics' _ga and _ga_JXM6L81EKT, which are used to count visits and distinguish one visitor from another. They contain no information about your documents, because your documents never leave your browser.
To refuse them, use Google's opt-out add-on, block them in your browser or a content blocker, or browse privately. The PDF tools work exactly the same either way — analytics is never involved in processing a file.
6. Data retention
We hold no accounts and no documents, so there is nothing of yours to retain. Server access logs are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted. Analytics data is retained by Google under its own retention settings.
7. Your rights
Since we hold no account and no files, there is generally no personal data of yours for us to produce, correct or delete. If you believe we hold something about you, or you want analytics data associated with you removed, email contact@securepdfsuite.com and we will deal with it. You can stop analytics at any time using any of the methods in section 5, or by clearing this site's data in your browser.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS/TLS and the server sits behind firewall rules. The strongest security property here isn't a control we operate, though — it's that your documents never arrive in the first place, so there is no store of files to breach. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of the pages themselves.
9. Children's privacy
SecurePDFSuite is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
